Weather Channel For Kids

This site is truly a colorful site. Leatrice Eiseman states that “color adds value and meaning to communication, giving life to the visual message, intensifying it, making it more identifiable and important (Curtis 147). This site attracts your attention with every interactive move as you navigate from page to page. The colors of the borders flash with bright warm colors.” It’s graphically displays one of the most fundamental aspects of color psychology (Curtis 151). These colors connect with the subconscious mind of the kids that reflects outside. “Mom can I go outside and play?” These colors are graphically designed to attract your attention as soon as you navigate from page to page. You can experience the beauty of yellow-green or yellow orange. On some the visual are orange–red. The colors blue-green is also displayed on different pages.

The WCFK is very artistic in each page. The colors are functional within each page. The initial page has the navigation bar to the links with a warm background. The text referring to the links change to cool colors to identify the links you’re navigating to.The name of the site is highlighted specifically for kids. The word kids overshadow the text weather channel. The fonts of the four letters are much larger than the fonts of any text within the page. The word kid is strategically displayed in warm colors. The user is thus reminded by this display the purpose of the site. The text within each site specifically has colors in the text to captivate and maintain the attention of the user, primarily kids.
