"Typography is the balance and interplay of letterforms on the page, a verbal and visual equation that helps the reader understand the form and absorb the substance of the page content" (Web Style Guide).  This is the format for this site. The typography on each page precipitates easy reading. There is no deviation from  page to page. The writing on the page is short and concise. Each page has a maximum 5 paragraph that are 8-10 sentences chunked into a vertical format. The paragraphs and the graphics are within a square box. Each picture is compatible with the appropriate contents of each paragraph.

There are many different fonts available on every site. The fonts used for this site is appropriate for teaching and educating. The fonts in this site are consistently the same throughout each page. The Sans Serif Heading is used and Garamond for the paragraph text. The heading for some are cool and warm colors. The educational pages are organized strategically for easy scanning and easy reading. The entertaining links use the same fonts but have minimum writing or 1-2 paragraphs with 5-7 sentences of basic information. This site overall was basic and simple. The colors and the graphic attracted the user attention from initial navigation to completion of navigation. The theme was inspired by weather experts who wanted to design an entertaining and educational twist to the four seasons of  the weather. The typography was appropriate for easy reading and the site structure was conducive for any user, kid, teacher or parent.
