Lev Manovich's screen culture is represented in the site with the inclusion of film clips (the dynamic screen) while also allowing for interactivity. By using the Experience the Film link, the user can interact with the site to construct a representation developed from what he/she interpreted from watching a Crash clip. After watching the clip, the user is offered a still shot and a list of words to place upon actors in the image.

The site interprets the viewer's message to create an alternate representation of the same scene. It replaces the original image with a mediated portrait (a classical screen) derived from the users interaction with the site.
