Color in Crashfilm.com

Crash.com uses cool shades of light blue that fade into darker shades of blue to relay a message of disjointed surrealism. These colors are used to relay what Leatrice Eiseman would call a "psychological message" (Curtis 147) that can be interpreted as a dream-like state. The light blue center of the screen gradually fades to black around the edges to denote the possibility of the unknown and to increase the intrigue of the site.

While blue is the predominant color of the site, orange is used as a complementary color to emphasize important information or headings. White is used primarily for the text to relay general information, as it contrasts with its darker background. While darker colors on a light background are generally more legible, the color choices for this site work to enhance the overall feel of the site, yet still maintain its function.
