Virginia Bevill's Online Portfolio

I am currently a senior at Clayton State University. I will be graduating in the Spring of 2009 with a BA in Communications and Media Studies. Previously, I was a Pre-Nursing Major, but decided to follow my first love of writing and changed my major.

Since declaring my new major, I have had the opportunity to hone my writing and editing skills and to develop new skills in multi-media. I am the Co-Editor in Chief of The Bent Tree, a student run University Publication. I am also an active student member of Clayton State University's Hearing Panel and the Media Advisory Board.

I have worked as a manager for Hong Enterprises since 1999 and have strong supervisory skills. Recently, I completed an on campus teaching internship that enabled me to interact with students and faculty on campus. This internship helped to strenghten my teaching/leadership abilities.

I am interested in Public Relations and Journalism and hope to find a career that will allow me to incoporate both. I have recently developed an interest in photography and like to take pictures and write in my spare time. After graduation, I plan to investigate photography further, and would like to add photojournalism to my list of attributes.
