I enjoy writing for pleasure, but most of my writings are for work or school. I have experience writing radio and TV scripts for news programming, press releases, employee communications and articles for a tri-weekly newspaper. This page contains articles covering government, law enforcement, and entertainment. It also contains a scholarly film journal written in the fall of 2008 during my CMS 4320 Women and Film course at Clayton State University.
Government is quite possibly my favorite topic to cover. I reported the government beat while working for The Thomaston Times. This story is about the Board of Upson County Commissioners approving their pay raises in Nov. of 2007. It includes comments from commissioners and other government officials.
This story is about Avenue Q's debut at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA. It contains an interview with Minglie Chen, who portrays several characters in the puppet musical that took Broadway by storm.
For my course work in CMS 4320 I wrote several film analysis journals. Every other week we were required to write a journal based on that weeks' readings and film. This journal discusses Catherine Breillat's Fat Girl and Sex is Comedy.
