Graphics
The Daisy Marc Jacobs site is highly graphics based, creating an illusion of being in a field of daisies. Beginning at the home page, visitors are immersed into a fantasy world by choosing where you are located by clicking on a specific flag graphic of the country you are in. The Web Style Guide states, “first and foremost, consistent interface and identity graphics across a collection of web pages define the boundaries of a web “site” (Graphics: The Role of Web Graphics). The Daisy Marc Jacobs site uses its signature graphic Daisy” across numerous web pages throughout the site, reiterating its theme.
The repetition of these graphics makes the site more pleasant by creating a serene environment on screen.
The screen shot above, demonstrates how graphics based the Daisy Marc Jacobs site is. The colorful objects are little critters that can be release in the field, by clicking a specific link named "Release the Color". The colorful critters fly across the screen along with the floating daisies in the virtual sky.
