Pepsi with Kanye

Bryan Louie's Pepsi ad

The very vibrant artist and photographer, Bryan Louie creates an ad for Pepsi using a style frame spot featuring the illustrious rapper Kanye West. Louie uses a picture from one of West's performances and surrounds him with bling elements. I love this image for the creativity used to reflect one of hip hop's focus. The image presents a lively luxurious vivid aroma that is echoes the success of Kanye West. The Pepsi implicates that by drinking Pepsi, you too can feel successful.

Jeep

T-Shirt design featured in Jane Magazine

Created in 2006 by Bryan Louie, this image was first introduced in Jane Magazine for a t-shirt design contest sponsored by Jeep. The image displays a huge baby bird on top of speeding Jeep driving through flowers. I think this work symbolizes Jeep as a large, precious, and beautiful car. I really enjoy the colors that Bryan Louie applies in the image. He uses warm colors on the Jeep but cool colors on the bird to give an illusion on clash.

The Old Prince

This video demonstrates the work of Shad K. In this video Shad K. reenacts the opening to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", but takes it from a different point of view of living broke. He also emphasizes the craft of hip hop and not the turn that it has taken today as in to glorify materialism and negativity.

Prolific Poem

This video displays an interview of Cee-lo Green. At the end of the video he raps a prolific poem. Cee-lo's wordplay in his work is always unpredictable and prolific. The poem that Cee-lo articulates, move my soul deeply. I believe that it is amazing how Cee-lo Green's words allow me to envisage his lyrics.
