Introduction
Designmyroom.com is a training web site created to help users design bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and other household rooms. Members of designmyroom can view rooms decorated by community members to develop ideas on decorating personal design boards. Users can also create a new project using design boards provided by designmyroom. Once a user selects a room they can add decorations and appliances provided by companies sponsoring the site. While users are designing rooms, they can also purchase products from Armana, Target, Whirlpool and etc.
The goal of this site is to spark users creative juices with the use of professional tools. With a click of a mouse, users can be interior decorators. Designmyroom community theme give users the ability to exchange ideas with family, friends and coworkers. Members can also receive feedback from other community members. Along with five major navigational links there is a blog page.
Designmyroom's target audience is young or middle-aged people who need ideas on decorating. The designer's studio section of the site offers advice from professional designers and gives examples of their work. Providing a brief background history of the artist inspires and motivates users. People interested in being designers or just want to learn how to design can utilize this site to learn how professional decorators come up with their ideas.
