Princess Threatt's CMS 3710 home page

This is the home page for my work in CMS 3710, a class offered during the fall 2008 semester at Clayton State University, in Morrow, Georgia, USA.

Web Site Analysis

Bet's homepage

Bet.com appeals to a young, modern audience. This site functions by informing users of the most recent news, entertainment, and community events. Users can also view previous television shows they may have missed on television. The author's format makes it easy to navigate by listing the navigational links in a menu style. There are also hypertext links in which users can view their horoscopes, download ringtones, and view various advertisements. These links open in a new window which uses the simple link technique. The bold, sans serif text styles grabs the viewers' attention with complimentary colors. Also, reversed text is used to make reading legible for users. Bet.com also has a section where users can leave feedback for the author and comment on articles. Overall, this website is easy to navigate because the author uses a standard format which is similar to other entertainment websites. As well, chunking is used effectively in which the articles cover information without making the articles too long or "dumb down." I use this site to broaden my knowledge of recent news on celebrities and to view television shows I missed.
