Inspiration Analysis of The Big Noob
The Big Noob recognizes the need for inspiration and creativity. The Big Noob opens lines of communication in order to draw inspiration. The team credits a number of innovative designs and concepts by various individuals. Smith and his associates freely admit to borrowing from other companies. One must borrow and return ideas to and from the world in which she lives. The site links a list consisting of 34 individuals. Smith refers to these individuals as dotcomrades. This is not the same as stealing or plagiarism (Curtis 113). The Big Noob design team constantly discusses creativity. Inspiration fuels creativity. Like Curtis, Smith believes the desire to communicate arises from the need to create (Curtis 96).
Brad, Ryan, and Keegan draw inspiration from each other. The site functions as an intranet of ideas between the three. New software, programming techniques, and designs are exchanged among the three. Users may post blogs. User comments are available to readers. The authors ask readers for suggestions, comments, and ideas on how to improve The Big Noob. The page, also, lists 17 frequently referenced sites, including such sites as VIRB, Flickr, Styleboost, and eMusic. Drawing inspiration from wherever they can, the team continually seeks better, more effective and creative ways to deliver messages.
