Leatrice Eiseman in Curtis' Making the Invisible Visible discusses people's reactions to color. She states, "We have learned how color adds value and meaning to communication, giving life to the visual message, intensifying it, making it more identifiable and important" (Curtis 147). Davidjosue.com wants its photography to stick with the viewers after they have left the page. Josué completes this task excellently. His page has very little color, which makes his photography pop out from the page. Figure 8 shows this master plan at work; the reds and yellows in the pictures stand out against the black, white, and gray background and text. This use of limited color definitely intensifies the theme of this site and lets the user more clearly know that this site's main focus is the photography.
